Kenneth J. Haber – Medicare Fraud Attorney

photoHaber-225x300-150x150Kenneth Joel Haber was born in Detroit, Michigan. He received his B.A. in 1967 and his J.D. in 1970 from the University of Michigan. Mr. Haber, who is a Medicare fraud attorney, was first admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Michigan in 1970 and then the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in 1971. Mr. Haber became an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) at the age of 25 due to his successful experience as an FBI Priority Security Asset (PSA), from 19 to 25 years of age. In 1971, Mr. Haber was appointed an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan (1971-1979). He became a Senior Attorney in the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in 1979 and continued in that position until he left government service in 1983 for private practice when he formed his own firm. He was admitted to the Bar of the Court of Appeals, District of Columbia in 1980 and to the Bar of the Court of Appeals of Maryland in 1990.

While Mr. Haber’s experience includes being a Medicare fraud defense attorney, his practice has included a variety of areas of law. Mr. Haber and the firm have undertaken administrative, criminal and civil consultation, negotiation and litigation on behalf of the firm’s clients. Mr. Haber has appeared before and assisted clients in matters and actions concerning a variety of federal and state agencies involving various aspects of healthcare, professional licensing, DEA registration, government contracting and administrative, sanction and compliance matters. Mr. Haber as a Medicare fraud defense lawyer has assisted numerous clients concerning physician/hospital relations and privileges, antitrust, civil rights, racketeering, qui tams, and other similar matters. Additionally, Mr. Haber has assisted clients concerning interstate disputes and business/corporate fraud.

Mr. Haber seeks to identify which laws can be helpful to his clients and implement and apply those laws which can provide relief for his clients from their problems. In seeking such relief for his clients, Mr. Haber as a Medicare fraud lawyer has gained extensive civil, criminal and administrative enforcement and defense experience; experience in investigative and audit activities; experience in a variety of administrative and regulatory matters; experience with multiple federal, state and private agencies and institutions.
